Machine Alias

Machine Aliases may be found in the [Machine Aliases] section of the OpenLink Session Rules
Book. You will also find Machine Aliases in the Edit Client Machine Aliases portion of the Administrative Assistant. The standard Machine Alias passes the hostname of the machine from which the connection is initiated. However, you may create regular expressions which map many machine id's onto one alias. For instance:

openlink|marsyas|localhost = work

This allows you to create a single Mapping Rule which applies in a variety of cases. This insures economy and flexibility in security. If you do not employ regular expressions, you will need to create one Mapping Rule per machine.
