Identify the Sybase listen port

Unix

1. Log in to your Sybase database server as the sybase user (or installation owner).
   
2. Locate and view (cat) the Sybase interfaces file.
   
3. The listen port for each Sybase instance will be found here.

Windows

1. Log in to your Sybase database server.
   
2. Locate your sql.ini file, and view it with a text editor.
   
3. The listen port is set in the sql.ini file.
