Detecting the Informix DBMS version

For best results, OpenLink components should be chosen to correspond to the Informix DBMS engine. Sometimes, these need not match, but please consult OpenLink Support about your specific scenario.

• To learn the Informix DBMS engine version, ensure the Informix environment variables are set, and run $INFORMIXDIR/bin/onstat -V on Unix, or onstat -V from a DOS prompt on Windows.
