    Fetch Buffer Size

The Fetch Buffer Size (FetchBufferSize) parameter appears in the odbc.ini file, the udbc.ini file, and the Administrative Assistant's DSN creation wizards. The value passed by Fetch Buffer Size represents the number of rows of resultset data which you want fetched before data is returned to the client. A high FetchBufferSize reduces the need to traverse back and forth across the network. However, a high FetchBufferSize will result in longer intervals between the arrival of data.
