Tracing ODBC Activity with  OpenLink ODBC Scan 
-  Launch the 
        
OPLScan32 executable. 
 -  Expand the Query menu.
 -  Click Connect. 
 -  Select your target DSN.
 -  Click OK. 
 -  Provide authentication, as needed.
 -  Click OK. 
 -  Expand the Trace menu.
 -  Insure Time Each API is checked.
 -  Select Options. 
 -  Click the Data Source icon.
 -  Use the Data Source folders to locate your Data Source.
 -  Highlight your Data Source.
 -  Click the Options icon.
 -  Insure Log to File is checked.
 -  Set a path for the log file, e.g., C:\scan.log, in the text box.
 -  Click OK. 
 -  Expand the Trace menu.
 -  Click Start. 
 -  Perform your query with your application.
 - Check your target log file for the desired output.
 
If your target log file is empty, try this:
-  Expand the Trace menu.
 -  Click Options. 
 -  Click the Process icon.
 -  Choose one of these two options: 
-  Click Trace Log Against Process and pick the process from the list box 
 -  Click Trace Log Against Exe and pass the full path to your application executable 
 
 -  Click Trace Log Against Process and pick the process from the list box 
 -  Click OK. 
 -  Click the Trace menu.
 -  Click Start. 
 -  Repeat the query with your application.
 - Check your target log file for the desired output.
