Pre-Installation Requirements for Mac OS X Clients

DBMS Requirements

You need to know a variety of information pertaining to your Ingres DBMS:

• The hostname or IP address of the Ingres DBMS server
  
• The Ingres listen address
  
• The Ingres database name

Software Requirements

• You need to ensure that you have a functional JVM (JAVA installation). This should come pre-configured with most Mac OS X operating systems.

Configuration Requirements

• There are no software configuration requirements associated with the use of OpenLink's Ingres Express drivers.
