Pre-Installation Requirements for Mac OS X Clients

DBMS Requirements

You need to know a variety of information pertaining to your DB2 DBMS:

  • DB2 TCP port
  • Hostname or IP address of the DB2 database server
  • DB2 database name

Software Requirements

  • You need to ensure that you have a functional JVM (JAVA installation). This should come pre-configured with most Mac OS X operating systems.

Configuration Requirements

  • There are no software configuration requirements associated with the use of OpenLink's DB2 Express drivers.
