Invalid packet length

Are you attempting to connect to a Progress SQL92 DBMS? This error occurs when your Progress DBMS is not accepting SQL92 connections or requires configuration of a secondary SQL92 Broker to accept ODBC connections. This can be further confirmed by the occurence of the following error message in the Progress native database log:

Server's received count 1 does not equal client(1)'s send count 16777216.
